"Hey Dude! Just had to email you
and let you know your CD is pretty damn cool! Excellent work!!!"
|
"Having been a fan of electronica and dance
music for years and years, it was a pleasure to finally get my hands
on a copy of Xaeja's self-titled debut CD. If you like something
to relax to, something to bop away to, maybe something a bit different
and definitely worth listening to, then this is for you.
The two-disc set is a very eclectic mix, and while the 80s synth
influence is sometimes pronounced, the excellent quality of the
music cannot be denied.
My favourites? Healer and Alive of the White disc, and the Hunger
and Heartland (part 2) from the Black disc.
Grab this CD with both hands and ENJOY!" |

"Well, I bought my copy from chaos and
have been playing it at my desk at work. Someone must have REALLY
LOVED IT.....cos it has disappeared off my desk...."
( Glad it turned up again, Stu! ) - Darren.

"Give yourself a big pat on the back
for a job well done, sir! And now I'm going to find that little
black dress I bought a couple of weeks ago and set the stereo
to play "Deathtrap Debbie" when my husband walks in
the door tonight...heh, heh, heh. ;)"

Xaeja is a very ambient CD. Ambience meaning
a particular environment or surrounding influence, usually relaxing.
Example of this is apparent within the song compositions.
Darren McKinty is from Melbourne [and] he has been composing since
the late '80s. His CD is divided into two sections. The first section
is the "white" section which contains ballads, gentle
instrumentals and songs with light lyrical content. The second is
the "black" bringing forth a more heavier sound. It contains
a darker lyrical content with much heavier instrumental themes.
It's easy listening and can be used for dining, meditation and almost
any occasion.
Darren McKinty's music is as dynamic as his personality and in a
live situation I feel the songs from Xaeja would be something no
less than brilliant."
